Venice, Italy

What caught my eye is vibrant color.  Color takes my breath away.

In that singular breath, we are transported through a portal.

I've been thinking about these photographs for four years. Travelling to Italy, living in Italy for two months each time I visited ~ WAS a portal. On the other side now, I feel refreshed.

New.

Double Dutch to Inner Sanctum

It amazes me when I discover a connection between seemingly disparate things.

First of all, I must confide that my sisters called me 'Dorr' growing up ~ still do. So when a door appears in my dream, I just know it also represents an aspect of me. That is, in addition to whatever else it may mean.

The Double Dutch door strikes me that it functions with the top half open far better than it would with only the bottom half open!

As portals, we also function better when we are grounded. When we keep the bottom chakras stable, it is far easier to connect the spirit through the head.

Which brings me to the next photo.

Two are One Working Together

Our two doors work together synchronistically. And together they meet the Divine within.

Delight in the Mystery of Being a Portal

I think I like the mystery most of all. I like getting up in the morning and being surprised and delighted by what each day brings.

Being a portal beats the heck out of knowing it all.

And I thank the Italians for teaching me to relax and enjoy life what comes.
