I sold my first clutch purse over the weekend ~ just a few days after I listed it on etsy! While I plan to make a replacement for the one I sold ~ I am also thinking I may create a series of one-of-a-kind clutches from this hand painted linen I made last year.
It only takes a 12" wide piece to make the bag. So the detail below shows how the design might look on one bag, with part wrapping around the sides and bottom.
I think I have enough fabric to make four to six bags. Each will be different, as you can see the fabric does not have a repeat. The metal frame in the center of the photo is the clasp I will use to finish it off. A flat brass chain attaches to it, so it can go on the shoulder or tuck inside.
